DMCA Policy


All content on Social8 is either:

A) Uniquely developed and owned by Social8 at or any of its subsidiary sites, subdomains or domain extension pages;


B) Submitted to (“Social8”) via a member user as uniquely developed and personally owned member content;


C) Submitted to (“Social8”) via a member user as readily available, publicly accessible, publicly distributable material as may be found in various places on within or upon the Internet and therefore believed to be public – “in the public domain”.

Content (including images and videos) posted are believed to be posted within our rights according to the U.S. Copyright Fair Use Act (Title 17, U.S. Code.) 



Social8 is in compliance with 17 U.S.C. and section 512 and the Digital Millennium Copyright Act

( “DMCA”.

It is our policy to respond to any infringement notices and take appropriate actions under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act and other applicable intellectual property laws.

If a member believes copyrighted material has been posted on Social8 or if links to your copyrighted material are returned through any search engine that links back to a Social8 site, and you want this material removed, you must provide a written communication that details the information listed in the following section.



Please be aware that you will be liable for damages including legal fees and costs if you misrepresent information listed on our site, knowingly distribute copyright protected material or lay a frivolous complaint with respect to an infringement or material that you believe infringes on your copyright.

Social8 is a social sharing website for members and thus, the sharing of other members posts (material) is by default an acceptable action. If you wish to proceed with a notification, we strongly suggest that you first contact an attorney, solicitor (otherwise “lawyer”) for legal advice on this matter before submitting a notice to Social8.



The following elements must be included in your copyright infringement claim:

  1. Provide evidence of the authorized person to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
  2. Provide sufficient contact information so that we may contact you.
  3. You must also include a valid email address.
  4. You must identify in sufficient detail, the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed and including at least one search term under which the material appears linked to Social8 by a search engine – search result.
  5. A statement by the complainant who believes in good faith, that use of the material in the manner thereafter specified is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that the complaining party is authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
  7. The notice must be signed by the authorized person to act on behalf of the owner, if not the owner directly, of an exclusive right that is allegedly being infringed.

Note that emailing your complaint to other parties such as any Internet Service Provider or Partner will not expedite your request and may result in a delayed response due to the complaint not properly being filed.
